ABOUT US
We are a 90 hole "family operated" rabbitry located in the Pacific Northwest in Tigard, Oregon (12 miles south of Portland). Seven years ago we acquired our first rabbit, a Jersey Wooley named Winnie Wiggles, at a garage sale of all places. After that we were hooked! Shortly after my niece got out of 4-H (for computers & boys) and gave her rabbits to my daughter. My daughter then 8, joined 4-H, the American Rabbit Breeders Association, the specialty clubs for our four breeds and within a year and a half we grew to love and raise Holland Lops, American Fuzzy Lops, Polish and Dwarf Hotots. Breeding for conformation and temperament from top quality lines is our goal. Our bunnies are very spoiled and are handled and loved a lot. We also mentor new breeders, support 4-H and youth.
After joining ARBA and attending some local sanctioned rabbit shows, we decided this was the family hobby for us. We all share in the fun and the dirty work! Special thanks to my husband who is continually building, re-arranging and doing for us. Also my youngest son who attends all the shows and hardly ever complains. And my daughter, who is the most serious and involved 9 1/2 year old you'll ever meet when it comes to rabbits.
We travel to most of the shows in Oregon and Washington and have even been known to drive to Canada for new stock! Our goal is to have quality rabbits good enough to compete at some of the specialty conventions next year in 2004. That's a big goal, but you have to have goals right?
We are proud of the fact that our culling methods do not involve death or letting rabbits loose to fend for themselves. We have enough pet outlets (since they make such wonderful pets) and 4-Hers that will gladly take our bunnies if we get too full. Our cages are changed and scrubbed weekly. We feed high quality food, hay, vitamins, treats and do everything in our power to keep our rabbits healthy, happy and clean.
Special thanks must be extended to the following people for their help in getting us started with stock, answering our endless questions, and most of all, friendship. Tasia Thomas, Bonnie Carter, Pat Barnard, Muriel Keyes, John Nyberg, Linda & Ron Jinnings, Ingrid Nitsch, Ann Goodman, Diana Kuehn, Jody and Jenny Pink and Leslie Hobbs.
Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions you may have about our stock, prices, upcoming litters or rabbit care. We can most likely arrange transport to most of the Oregon and Washington shows and can discuss shipping if necessary.
